Product Description
The custom hood scoop is designed to completely replace the OEM (original) hood scoop on certain vehicles (see fitment). It is hand-laid dry carbon fiber, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and visual appearance (i.e. the show of carbon weave). The design is more aggressive than stock – presumably larger, more pronounced airflow opening, or sharper/edgier styling.
Note: Installation requires removal of the original hood scoop (clips underneath the hood + some nuts at the front) and repositioning/sealing. The product comes with 3M double-sided tape along edges for initial mounting, and it is recommended to use a silicone sealant around the scoop after installation to prevent water ingress. Also recommended to clean mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol before install. Reinstatement of the black plastic trim under the hood helps direct airflow (especially to the intercooler)
